Description
Endurance Monster is Virility's 5 Mile Advanced program. I created this 8-week running program built for military personnel who are seeking to take the next step in their weekly mileage, difficulty of programming, and bring their 5 mile to a freakish pace.
This is the exact structured training protocol that I used to take my 5 miler from ~40 minutes to sub-32 minutes during an RPFT.
What This Program Is
The Endurance Monster is an 8-week progression built to stop you from “getting through runs”, and help you structure your schedule to maximize 5-mile speed.
Every session has a purpose:
- Build endurance via aerobic running
- Lock in pace discipline via running slower than you might deem necessary
- Increase work capacity via threshold runs
- Execute under fatigue via intervals/repeats
No wasted mileage. No random workouts that have zero effect other than injuring you.
Who I Created This For

- You’re in the military and your run time is acceptable, but not freak-level
- You can pass, but you’re nowhere near where you believe you can be
